A spectacular combination of orange and black, Crocus ‘Orange Monarch’ has ornate line detailing along the outside of its petals that appear so detailed it is as though they have been hand drawn.
In addition to its stunning appearance, they are loved by pollinators and attractive to wildlife, and are a member of the RHS Plants for Pollinators collection.
These spring flowering bulbs are ideal for planting in borders, window boxes, rockeries and walkways. They will also naturalise excellently in a lawn or verge to create orange drifts.
Plant these ‘Orange Monarch’ bulbs approximately 5cm deep and 5cm apart. Crocuses will grow in a wide range of soils provided there is good drainage. They like sunshine but the flowers will last longer in partial shade.
