Crataegus laevigata 'Crimson Cloud' is a wonderful wildlife-friendly tree. Native to Britain, this Hawthorn has a glorious show of red and white flowers in spring, that appear in large clusters. These open flowers are great for attracting bees and other pollinators into your garden.
After flowering, delicate scarlet berries form to provide an excellent food source for birds. As a native species, it is fully hardy and suited to the climate and conditions found in Britain. In addition to this, it is relatively slow growing which makes it an ideal addition to a range of garden spaces, from small to large.
To grow your Hawthorn, simply plant it in a bright and sunny spot in your garden, in fertile and well-drained soil.
