Admire masses of fabulous funnel-shaped white flowers that are flushed with purple and have reddish-brown flecks with Alstroemeria ‘Inticancha Moon’. Also known as a Peruvian Lily, it is a wonderful choice for adding a touch of tropical charm to the garden, creating a display that lasts from June through to November.
Beneath its charming flowers, it has mounds of lush green foliage that retain a neat and attractive shape with minimal maintenance. This makes it a wonderful choice for container displays to enhance patio areas and entrances or is the perfect addition to the front of a sunny border. With a tolerance of partial shade as well full sun, it is also an excellent choice as underplanting shrubs and roses, hiding the woody stem.
In addition to its wonderful ornamental appeal, this perennial is a great choice for attracting bees and a wide range of other beneficial insects into your garden. This has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have added it to their Plants for Pollinators Collection.
Reliable and easy to you, plant Alstroemeria ‘Inticancha Moon’ in a sheltered but sunny or partially shaded position in moist but well drained soil. Regularly remove the spent flowers throughout the flowering season to encourage new buds to form.
