Allium 'Sphaerocephalon' bulbs grow into a striking oval flower head that starts with light green buds and then matures to deep pink-red.
The perfect choice for planting in drifts, in a border or flower bed, they bloom slightly later than other Alliums, in July and August.
These bulbs are best suited to being planted with mixed perennials in a sun-trapped border or scattered amongst a gravelled area of the garden. They also work wonderfully grown in a rock garden or open field, in a pot on a sunny patio, or cut and used in a vase indoors.
