The Acer rubrum ‘October Glory’ Tree, or Red Maple Tree, is a gardeners’ favourite, loved for its incredible autumnal foliage that lasts through to November.
Growing delicate crimson flowers, these quickly fade to make way for the mid-green, three lobed foliage in spring. The beautifully shaped leaves then gradually mature into deepening hues to produce a magnificent autumnal display of crimson, burnt orange and warm yellow tones.
As this tree matures its shape forms into a beautiful oval crown that creates a wonderful silhouette to admire throughout the seasons. In addition to looking beautiful, it is easy to grow and has received the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit in recognition of its reliable and healthy growth.
