Gates is one of the largest independent destination garden centres in the UK, established in 1948 and continually growing and developing in response to customer demand and market trends. We have a team of around 300 people working at our flagship Garden Centre in Cold Overton near Oakham and our recently opened Woodlands Hinckley Garden Centre in Stapleton, near Hinckley. Our team carry out a wide range of roles across Garden Centre Retail, Operations, eCommerce, Marketing and Administration. Our team is expanding fast and it is an exciting time to join us.

Temporary Christmas Retail Assistant

Gates Oakham & Gates Woodlands Hinkley| Full-Time & Part-Time| Temporary September - December

We are looking for a temporary retail staff to work within our magical Christmas department from September until the end of December.

You will be comfortable working as part of a team, whilst showing an outgoing and energetic personality. You will be approachable, friendly, presentable and efficient in your day to day work. A confident communicator, who can interact with customers and pass on product knowledge where appropriate.

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Cheerful and have a smile, even when working under pressure.
  • Happy to talk to customers, with an approachable manner
  • Able to recognise when customers or colleagues need help or assistance
  • Conscientious, enthusiastic and motivated

Full training and uniform will be provided.
