Dahlia Decorative ‘Rosella’ is a visually striking flower that will add a touch of elegance to any garden. With large (20cm/8″) blooms in shades of deep pink it is ideal for filling out the back or middle of a summer garden bed or border. The foliage is a dark green and glossy, providing a lush contrast to the vibrant blooms.

Planting and maintaining a Dahlia ‘Rosella’ is relatively easy. The tubers should be planted in well-drained soil in a sunny spot, ideally in a location that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight per day. When planting, it’s important to ensure that the tubers are planted at the correct depth (15cm/6″), with the “eye” facing upwards. Once established, the plants will require regular watering and fertilisation throughout the growing season.

To encourage the development of strong, healthy stems, it is recommended to stake the plants or use a tomato cage to support the blooms. Deadheading spent flowers will also prolong the blooming period. In the fall, after the first frost, the foliage should be cut back and the tubers should be dug up and stored in a cool, dry place over the winter.

With its large, showy blooms, it’s sure to be a standout feature in any garden. Overall, the Dahlia ‘Rosella’ is a beautiful and easy to care for plant that will bring a pop of colour and interest to any garden.
