Not based in Rutland? Trust Gates to make a visit to this lovely, traditional show easy with a luxury Skills coach trip from Gates Hinckley.
The Rutland Flower Show 2026 brings together flower and garden clubs, horticultural organisations, and enthusiasts from across Rutland and the surrounding counties for a vibrant celebration of all things gardening.
Among the most enchanting highlights are the show gardens, where visitors can wander through a series of beautifully crafted outdoor spaces. Don’t miss the Gates Show Garden, designed by Matt Peck and the Gates Horticulture team, blending creativity with a deep connection to nature.
Plant lovers will be spoilt for choice with over 50 specialist nurseries attending this year. Many are multiple RHS Gold Medal winners, including Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, Dibleys, Wack’s Wicked Plants and more – offering a fantastic opportunity to discover something truly special for your own garden. And the beauty of coach travel means that you can store your greenery in the coach hold making sure it arrives safely back to your car at Gates Hinckley.
Visit the Grand Marquee, a lively hub of creativity, bringing together talented regional artisans showcasing unique craftsmanship and inspiring ideas. Meanwhile, the Fine Foods Marquee is a must-visit for food lovers, packed with delicious local and artisan produce to taste and take home.
We’re also delighted to welcome Adam Frost from the BBC’s Gardeners’ World. A seven-time RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winner, Adam will be sharing his passion for plants, wellbeing, and gardening, and will be signing copies of his latest book For the Love of Plants at the show.
Adding to the atmosphere, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will perform a spectacular flypast across all three days, celebrating Britain’s aviation heritage.
At the heart of the showground, the bandstand provides a lively backdrop of live music and entertainment, perfectly complementing the floral displays and competitions taking place throughout the weekend.
Your ticket £48pp includes free parking at Gates Woodlands Hinckley, return luxury coach travel, show entrance and a cream tea at Gates Oakham. This is for Friday 14th August.
How the day will unfold
9am pick up from Gates Woodlands Hinckley where your car can be parked all day
10am arrive at The Rutland Flower Show where you can wander around and experience this wonderful country flower show
2pm the coach leaves for Gates Oakham where you can explore the larger of the two Gates Garden Centres, and, when you’re ready exchange your cream tea voucher in either the Garden Restaurant or the Courtyard Coffee shop for your scone, jam & cream plus hot drink of your choice.
4pm the coach will depart arriving at Gates Woodlands Hinckley at around 5pm
