Get into the festive spirit and create something beautiful for Christmas. In a small, welcoming group, you’ll be guided step by step by our horticultural team, who offer plenty of help and inspiration along the way.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or simply love getting creative at Christmas, you’ll enjoy a lovely few hours and leave with a handmade wreath or centrepiece to proudly have in your home.
Wreath Making Experiences
Join us at Gates Oakham and Gates Woodlands Hinckley for a relaxed and friendly wreath-making workshop, where you’ll learn how to create your own beautiful Christmas wreath using natural foliage and seasonal materials.
Your Experience Includes:
Everything you need to create your own beautiful natural foliage wreath, with expert guidance and plenty of inspiration along the way. Then take your finished wreath home to enjoy throughout the festive season.
Morning sessions: Delicious Mimosa, hot drinks and home-made pastries
Afternoon sessions: Warming mulled wine, hot drinks and mince pies
2 -3 hours of festive creativity in a small, friendly group
Everything is provided, although we recommend bringing your own gardening gloves to keep your hands protected while you create.

Christmas Centrepiece Experiences
Step into the festive season with a relaxed and creative Christmas centrepiece workshop at Gates Oakham or Gates Woodlands Hinckley. Surrounded by seasonal foliage, beautiful decorations and plenty of Christmas spirit, you’ll create a stunning centrepiece to take home and enjoy throughout the festive season.
Guided by our horticultural team you’ll enjoy everything you need to create your own beautiful Christmas centrepiece, with friendly guidance and inspiration throughout.
Afternoon sessions: Enjoy a glass of warming mulled wine, hot drinks and delicious mince pies while you create.
1 -2 hours of festive inspiration in a small, friendly group — the perfect opportunity to slow down, get creative and enjoy some Christmas magic.
Everything is provided, but we recommend bringing your own gardening gloves and, although we have heaters in our glass houses, you may want to dress up warm.
