They are best planted in small groups in borders, around shrubs and conifers or in containers on terraces, balconies or patios. The flowers are also ideal when cut, demanding a position in the cut flower garden.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e'Stresa' tulip bulbs can be grown in a wide array of soil conditions, whether it is acidic, alkaline or neutral, so long as there is sufficient drainage. They will prefer a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds.
