They can also be planted in small groups at the front of a mixed border, or in a pot or container on a patio or table to be enjoyed close up. The bulbs are exceptionally hardy and will survive whatever weather the UK winter will throw at them.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePlant these bulbs around 5-10cm deep into the soil. Be sure to plant them as soon as possible to avoid them drying out. If planting in grasses, it is best to let the leaves die back completely before mowing the lawn.
