West Country Lupin ‘Persian Slipper’

Available in a recyclable 3 litre pot, the West Country Lupin ‘Persian Slipper’ is a vigorous, upright, herbaceous perennial that produces terminal racemes of white-flecked, deep violet-blue flowers.

These Lupinus flowers have a deliciously peppery scent and are perfect when planted among other white, purple and pink perennial flowers. Hardy in most areas throughout the UK, it will reach full growth in between two to five years

Deadhead to encourage a second flush of flowers and protect against frost damage by covering the crown of the plant. Protect young plants from slug, snail and lupin aphid attack.

Planting

• Full sun or partial shade
• Prefers acidic, well drained, loamy and sandy soil
• Water pot well before planting and leave to drain
• Dig twice the size of the pot
• Mix in compost and fertiliser to the soil
• Remove pot & place root ball level with the soil
• Top off with compost and fertiliser
• Firm in well and water regularly
