Tulip ‘Negrita’ (10 bulbs)

Plant Tulipa ‘Negrita’ between September and December for some of the prettiest tulips available, producing impressive deep pinkish-purple petals and beetroot purple veins running throughout.

Reaching a height of approximately 45cm/18″, these ‘Negrita’ bulbs will flower throughout April and May.

These suave and mature bulbs are perfect for beds, borders, pots and containers, particularly when combined with other lighter shades or backgrounds in order to create an eye-catching contrast. These tulip blooms are also exceptional as cut flowers earning a place in the cut flower garden.

‘Negrita’ tulip bulbs should be planted 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart, growing in almost any soil, be it acidic, alkaline or neutral, so long as there is effective drainage. Try to plant in a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds.

Remove flowers when they begin to fade and support them after planting with a top dressing of slow acting fertiliser, such as bone-meal, to assist the flowering.
