Tulip ‘Ice Lolly’ (10 bulbs)

Plant Tulipa ‘Ice Lolly’ from September until December for beautiful bold flowers with petals that are red at the base fading into yellow at the top.

‘Ice Lolly’ tulip bulbs will grow to a height of around 20cm/8″, flowering in April and May above sword-shaped grey-green leaves.

These uplifting compact bulbs are ideal for beds and borders and, due to their reduced height, are especially popular for pots and containers such as window boxes. This hybrid tulip also produces exceptional cut flowers.

‘Ice Lolly’ tulip bulbs should be planted 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart, growing in almost any soil, be it acidic, alkaline or neutral, provided there is effective drainage. Try to plant in a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds.

Remove flowers when they begin to fade and support them after planting with a top dressing of slow acting fertiliser, such as bone-meal, to assist the flowering.
