Tulip ‘Angelique’ (15 bulbs)

Tulipa ‘Angelique’ is an outstanding, award winning variety of tulip producing blooms of a satin soft pink blush that gradually deepens with age. The petals also feature a rich apple blossom inked edge and green markings on the outside.

These gorgeous flowers will appear throughout April and May, at an approximate mature height of around 45cm/18″.

They are perfect for growing in flower beds or in cool greenhouses. They can also be planted in patio pots or at the front or middle of sunny borders with a combination of blue and purple flowers to create a stunning colour contrast. Strong stems make them the perfect choice to be cut for flower arrangements, or standing strong in a garden throughout the ever-changing spring British weather. They are also excellent for underplanting roses or growing through Muscari.

A recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit, ‘Angelique’ tulips will grow in a wide range of different soils, so long as there is good drainage. They are fully hardy and feature substantial resistance to pests and disease. When planting, try to find a position of partial shade, at a depth and spread of 10cm/4″.

Remove flower heads as they begin to fade and avoid repeatedly planting tulips in exactly the same spot that they have been grown in recent years.
