Tulip ‘Abba’ (10 bulbs)

Plant Tulipa ‘Abba’ from September until December for beautiful bold double flowers with glowing tomato red petals. Coveted by gardeners since its introduction in 1951 this variety is perfect for cut flowers to brighten up your house.

Flowering in spring these naturalising flowers will return year after year, reaching a height of around 20cm/8″, rising on strong sturdy stems that can withstand heavy wind and rain.

For the greatest visual impact, plant in groups of at least 10-15 among other spring flowering bulbs for a bright and elegant display in beds, borders, containers and rock gardens. These tulips will also excel as cut flowers.

‘Abba’ tulips will grow in a wide range of different soils, acid, alkaline or neutral, provided there is good drainage, preferably in a position of full sun or partial shade. Plant the bulbs at a depth of 15cm/6″ and a spread of 10cm/4″.
