A pack of 10 Tulip ‘Royal Virgin’ bulbs produce a beautiful and simple triumph tulip with pristine, pure white flowers.
These ‘Royal Virgin’ bulbs will flower throughout April and May, at a height of approximately 40cm/16″ and are perfectly suited for beds and borders, in combination with flowering shrubs and conifers. Alternatively, they will excel in pots, containers or as cut flowers. For the greatest visual impact, plant in groups of at least 10-15, among complementary shades such as dark purple or light pink to create contrast and highlight their vibrant beauty.
‘Royal Virgin’ tulip bulbs should be planted 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart, in almost any soil as long as there is sufficient drainage. Plant in a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds.
Remove flowers when they begin to fade and support them after planting with a top dressing of slow acting fertiliser, such as bone-meal, to assist the flowering.
