Tulip ‘Queen of Night’ (20 bulbs)

With deepest, dark purple blooms that appear almost black, a pack of 20 Tulip ‘Queen of Night’ bulbs produce one of the blackest tulips ever bred and are understandably extremely popular among gardeners.

This distinct perennial tulip produces breathtaking deep purple black tulips. These tulips are highly regarded for their intense dark shade. Expect ‘Queen of Night’ blooms to flower between April and May, growing to a height of around 60cm/24″.

These captivating and versatile spring flowering bulbs can be used in pots, beds, borders or as cut flowers, like many other tulips. Due to their unique shade try planting them alongside paler, or brighter flowers, to draw attention to its rare beauty.

‘Queen of Night’ tulip bulbs can be grown in practically any soil that has good drainage. Look for a position of full sun, in a place where tulips have not been grown in recent years, preferably protected from strong winds. Plant the bulbs around 10cm/4″ deep and 10cm/4″ apart.
