Low-growing, evergreen, ground cover plant, that is covered in bright pink flowers from spring to autumn. Ideal in borders, rockeries and patio containers.
How to sow
Sow seed on the surface of good free draining compost and cover with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Seal container inside a polythene bag and place at 15-21˚C (59-70F) until after germination which usually takes 2-4 weeks. Do not exclude daylight as this helps germination.
How to grow
Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle, into 7.5cm (3in) pots and acclimatise to outdoor conditions, transplant into flowering site, 30cm (12in) apart in the autumn, for flowering the following year. Can also be sown outdoors 6mm (¼in) deep, in rows 30cm (12 in) apart. Later thin out seedlings to 30cm (12in) apart.
