Thompson & Morgan Californian Poppy Mixed Seeds

An easy to grow plant superb for bedding, borders and containers growing in a wide range of soils, in sun and rain. Planted en masse, plants bear a profusion of brilliantly coloured, silky blooms all summer long. Excellent for covering sunny banks and makes a good weed suppressant. Ideal for children.

How to sow

Sow outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground by raking until it is fine and crumbly, removing any large stones. Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart, or scatter seed in beds or borders as a gap filler. Lightly cover the seed.

How to grow

When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart. Water regularly until plants are established and especially during dry periods.
