The ‘Spartan’ Apple Tree produces an abundance of fruit bearing deep red skins with crisp, white flesh. Similar to the Red Delicious apple, this apple is excellent for eating fresh and juicing.

Almost a century old, this variety was created in British Columbia in 1926 and has been a popular for its sweet and juicy flavour, ever since.

This apple tree is available in a 12 litre pot, on different rootstocks that suit a range of garden sizes. The rootstock controls the rate of growth so you can choose a rootstock suitable to where you would like to plant your tree. The rootstock also ensures the tree fruits earlier than when grown on its own roots.

M26 is a semi-dwarf variety that is suitable for smaller gardens, where space is at a premium. This rootstock grows to a mature height of 2.5m (8ft) after 10 years.

MM106 is a semi-vigorous variety that is one of the largest rootstocks available. It is best suited to large gardens where space is not an issue. This rootstock grows to a mature height of 3.5m (11ft) after 10 years.
