The Sorbus ‘Joseph Rock’ Tree, or Mountain Ash, has wonderful contrasting lemon-yellow berries and crimson foliage in autumn.

As the foliage first appears in spring, the pinnate leaves are mid-green and are joined by clusters of tiny fluffy flowers through May and June. When the flowers fade the tree begins to transform into its magnificent autumnal lemon and crimson hues.

This wonderful Mountain Ash Tree has an upright and neat form, that means it is a wonderful choice for smaller garden spaces, as a single tree to admire its wonderful silhouette. Its airy growth habit and pinnate leaf shape also means that it creates dappled shade around the base, that is perfect for underplanting to add further interest and colour to your garden.

This low maintenance tree requires minimal pruning and will grow in almost any soil type. Plant it in a sunny, or partially shaded spot, in moist, well-drained soil. You will then be rewarded with years of stunning, colourful displays.
