Salvia ‘Hot Lips’ is a stunning evergreen perennial producing brilliant red and white flowers from early summer until frost.

Borne in loose racemes, these pretty flowers appear lipstick red in early summer, turning a vivid red and white in mid to late summer, before finally turning white as the days shorten. Throughout this long blooming season, they rise above a handsome bush of small, ovate and aromatic green leaves.

Growing to an eventual height and spread of approximately 100cm, this stunning plant is perfect when planting in beds or borders and will attract scores of butterflies, hummingbirds and beneficial insects.

It is hardy in all of the UK, down to temperatures of around -10 degrees and should be positioned in a position of full or partial sun. Plant into moist but well drained, neutral, acidic or alkaline soil. Watch for slugs, snails, rosemary beetle or leafhoppers and deadhead regularly to prolong flowering.
