With a host of ornamental interest to admire and excellent, sweet and juicy eating apples, the ‘Red Devil’ Apple Tree is a wonderful specimen to enjoy throughout the seasons.

In spring this beautiful tree is adorned with pretty, pink blossoms, that welcome bees and other pollinators into your garden. This has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have added it to their Plants for Pollinators Collection.

As the flowers fade the incredible vibrant crimson red apples appear, providing a magnificent burst of autumn colour as well as wonderfully delicious and juicy fruit, that is ready to enjoy from mid-autumn.

This variety of apple tree is self-fertile and doesn’t need another apple tree to produce its fruit. When grown on the M26 semi-dwarf root stock, it is a great choice for smaller spaces such as city or courtyard gardens.

To get the most from this wonderful apple tree plant it in a sheltered position in full sun, or partial shade, in moist well drained soil. You will then enjoy many years of delicious fruit and a range of ornamental features to admire throughout the seasons.

The ‘Red Devil’ Apple Tree is available on two different root stocks:

M26 is a semi-dwarf variety that is suitable for smaller gardens, where space is at a premium. This rootstock grows to a mature height of 2.5m (8ft) after 10 years.

MM106 is a semi-vigorous variety that is commonly one of the largest rootstocks available. It is best suited to large gardens, where space is not an issue. This rootstock grows to a mature height of 3.5m (11ft) after 10 years.
