Raymond Evison Clematis Guernsey Flute

With an abundance of large star-shaped ivory blooms that cascade down vibrant green foliage, the Raymond Evison Clematis Guernsey Flute in a 3-litre pot is a truly exceptional hardy climber.

New for 2024, this dazzling clematis is due to be revealed by award winning horticulturalist, Raymond Evison at this year’s Chelsea Flower Show. With a show-stopping combination of large eye-catching petals, vibrant green foliage and a compact climbing habit, the flowers naturally cluster together to make a dramatic statement.

As one of the first-generation varieties to come from Raymond Evison’s new breeding programme it combines a wide range of desirable attributes. These include large white flowers and deep green foliage, an abundance of blooms as well as a compact overall shape. This variety also has the endearing trait of holding just open flower buds for an extended period, hence the addition of ‘flute’ to its name.

The Clematis Guernsey Flute will enjoy a spot with partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. Flowering through from late spring to early autumn, this easy to grow deciduous perennial will grow to approximately 1.5m in height and is fully hardy.
