The Peony ‘Koningin Wilhelmina’ is a fragrant, fully double heirloom peony that produces beautiful blooms of soft pale pink with a strong rich fragrance.
Blooming from late spring to early summer, these peonies grow proud, bushy mounds of glossy, emerald-green foliage, reaching up to 70cm tall and around 70cm wide.
Grown in-house at Gates Garden Centre, these ‘Koningin Wilhelmina’ Paeonies are perfect when planted as a specimen or feature plant or in groups for borders and beds. They work well in city or informal cottage gardens and are ideal for bordering a path or driveway and as an informal hedge. They are excellent as cut flowers with a vase life of over a week.
Plant in a position of sun or partial shade, away from trees or shrubs as peonies don’t like to compete for food and moisture. Plant in humus rich soil and water in well.
We recommend combining these beautiful Paeonia lactiflora with roses, bearded irises and other strikingly coloured perennials.
