Peony ‘Angel Cheeks’

The Peony ‘Angel Cheeks’ is a stunning, showy perennial that blooms in late spring and early summer with pale pink and cream flowers and a delicate, pleasant fragrance.

These large, striking blooms produce saucer-shaped flowers, sat atop strong erect stems that shouldn’t require staking. This peony will produce dark green bushy foliage and can grow up to 75cm tall and 50cm wide, flowering in late spring to early summer for two to four weeks, depending on the weather.

Grown in-house at Gates Garden Centre, these Paeonies make for ideal cut flowers due to their long vase life of over a week, if cut in the bud. They also look at home when placed towards the middle or back of a border or bed in city or informal cottage gardens.

Look for a position of sun or partial shade, ideally away from trees or shrubs as peonies don’t like to compete for food and moisture. Plant in humus rich soil and water in well.

These gorgeous peonies combine brilliantly with shades of deep plum and purple to make a stunning early summer display.
