To get the best from your Menhir Shallots, plant in spring at a depth of 33cm/1″ leaving approximately 12cm/5″ between bulbs and 30cm/12″ between rows, in a position of full sun. Lift the crop a few days after its leaves die down. Leave on the surface to ripen and, when dry, rub off the loose skin and roots. Store in a cool, dry, frost-free place in trays.
