The David Austin Madame Alfred Carrière® is a repeat flowering climbing rose that is a wonderful choice if you are looking to cover expanses of wall and large garden structures.

A repeat flowering delight with an abundance of creamy white roses covering its near thornless stems, it can reach up to 25ft in height to create a dramatic display. This very tall climber not only has wonderful flowers to admire, but they are highly scented with a strong fruity fragrance that fills the surrounding space.

The stems on this rose can be stiff to train, but it will form a graceful growing habit with the flowers gently cascading down the full length of its stems. This versatile rose can be planted in a range of positions around the garden, including shady spaces, adding uplifting interest and fragrance to enjoy.

How to care for your rose

To get the best from your rose, plant it with a sprinkling of David Austin Mycorrhizal Fungi around the base to help the roots establish and encourage good plant health. We also recommend regularly feeding with rose food, once in late March or early April and again in July. Whilst this rose is in flower, deadhead the spent blooms to encourage new bud growth.
