Lilium ‘Asiatic Yellow’ Bulbs

Lilium ‘Asiatic Yellow’ is a hardy perennial with a bold yellow bloom that will reliably put on an uplifting display year after year in your summer garden.

These joyful yellow lilies are perfect for the early summer border or when used in pots and containers. These lilies have mid-sized to tall stems, a light fragrance and are excellent for cutting.

Try to find a position of sun or partial shade, protected from strong winds but avoiding dry, hot locations such as along a south-facing wall. These bulbs are not fussy about soil type (acid or alkaline) provided the soil is fertile and well drained.

Aim to plant the bulbs sometime in spring, approximately 12cm deep and between 20-30cm apart in odd numbered groupings. When fully grown these lilies can reach 90cm tall and may spread up to 40cm. When planting in pots make sure to use a good-quality, multi-purpose compost such as John Innes No.3.

Asiatic Lilies should be among the first lilies to bloom, usually flowering between June and August.
