Lilium ‘Asiatic Red’ Bulbs

Lilium ‘Asiatic Red’ has stunning deep red flowers with a dash of darker red in the centre that is sure to turn heads in a summer garden. These alluring, upfacing, scarlet blooms sit atop mid-sized to tall stems that are excellent for cutting.

These stunning red lilies are perfect when mixed into a summer border or potted proudly on the patio. These lilies are not perfumed making them ideal for anyone that dislikes the lily fragrance.

We recommend planting these bulbs as soon as possible, ideally between March and June, in either acidic or alkaline soil.

Aim to plant the bulbs approximately 12cm deep and between 20-30cm apart in odd numbered groupings and in a position of sun or partial shade. When fully grown these lilies can reach up to 90cm tall and may spread up to 40cm. When planting in pots make sure to use a good-quality, multi-purpose compost such as John Innes No.3.

Asiatic Lilies such as the ‘Asiatic Red’ are among the first lilies to bloom, usually flowering between June and August.
