Lilium ‘Asiatic Brunello’ is a durable, unfussy perennial bulb with a striking orange bloom that will make a stunning addition to any summer border or container.
An excellent lily with glossy green foliage, the ‘Brunello’ can be used in beds or containers and is ideal as a cut flower.
Lilies should ideally be planted in autumn while the bulbs are still plump however they can still be planted in spring for a stunning summer display. We recommend planting the bulbs in clumps to maximise their effect. Look for a position of sun or partial shade that will protect the lilies from strong winds.
Plant the bulbs 12cm deep and 30cm apart in a well-drained soil, enriched with well-rotted organic matter or leaf mould.
Deadhead the blooms promptly and cut the dead stems back to ground level at the end of autumn.
