With ‘Liberty’, Charlotte adds another muse to her customary sources of inspiration. The portrayal of this sylph-like dancer has a fleeting fairy tale quality that’s at once playful and poignant. Here, Charlotte uses the digital ‘brush’ as intuitively and sensitively as the traditional kind. She graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2014 with a degree in illustration. During as well as after university she has worked freelance, creating editorial illustrations for a variety of clients.
Her subject floats on a flurry of fairy dust, brought magically to life by the unique iridescence of printing on metallic canvas and star-studded with diamanté in three shimmering tones.
