The Hosta ‘Broadway’ is a medium to large sized clump-forming Hosta that is perfect as groundcover or when used to underplant shrubs or roses.
This foliage consists of large, dark-green leaves with a creamy white marginal variegation. They are moderately flat, rounded and slightly shiny on top. It will also produce racemes of lavender flowers from June to July. They can reach heights of 60cm with a spread of up to 80cm and are easy to grow and maintain.
Grown in-house at Gates Garden Centre, ‘Broadway’ Hostas are best planted among other perennials in beds and borders in a shaded garden. They can be used in both city and informal cottage gardens and can also be planted in containers.
Plant from its 3 litre pot into a shady spot, in fertile, moist and well drained soil that does not dry out. Mulch annually in spring and water during dry spells. Protect from slugs and snails and propagate by division in early spring or late summer.
