Kelkay Horticultural Washed Gravel

Kelkay Horticultural Washed Gravel is a versatile washed 10mm quartzite grit which makes a stunning top dressing for pots, flowerbeds and borders. It is also ideal to use in rock gardens, pools and water features. When mixed with compost, it helps improve soil drainage and it is perfect for crocking in pots and containers.

You can also help avoid drought by mulching your borders with 5-7cm of washed gravel to help maintain moisture.

This gravel is available in two bag sizes: Handy and Large Packs.

Tips from the experts

• Add gravel to scree gardens to replace subsoil and create a layer that the topsoil can lay on
• Use 2 parts topsoil, 2 parts horticultural washed gravel and 1 part horticultural sharp sand
• Top dress your scree garden with 3-4cm of dressing grit
• Top dress to minimise any water loss and prevent weeds
