Alpine Gold Horticultural Grit – 6mm (Mini Pack)

Alpine Gold Horticultural Grit is perfect for top dressing pots around alpines, rock plants, cacti and succulents where its slightly golden hue makes a lovely contrast with green plants.

When mixed with compost, it will improve soil drainage and ensure that your potted plants receive just the right amount of water, with becoming waterlogged. The coarse texture allows water to flow freely, preventing root rot, which improves root growth.

The porous nature of this potting grit enhances soil aeration, creating the ideal environment for your plants to breathe, access vital nutrients and thrive.

When added to soil, the weight also improves pot stability, so your pots are less likely to blow over in the wind.

As this horticultural grit is lime free, it will not affect your soil’s pH, making it suitable for for use with a variety of plants.
