Featuring a small round 28mm entrance and exit hole to attract smaller wild birds, which comes finished with a metal ring to emphasise the hole. The small entrance will also help to protect against predators or larger birds, creating a safe and cosy home for wild birds.
This attractive Henry Bell wooden bird box has a traditional pitched roof with a natural finish, whilst the nest box is painted in pale blue, for authentic beach hut style.
The beach hut nest box includes useful drainage holes inside to keep it dry and free from moisture. The Nest Box can be opened at the side for cleaning purposes, but be careful not to disturb nesting birds.
To site the nest box, choose an open location, out of strong sunlight and prevailing winds. Also ensure there is a clear flight path for birds to be able to access the nest box and keep it a safe distance away from feeding sites.
The best time of year for siting a nest box is in the Autumn, with the handy metal loop provided.
