Helleborus niger ‘HGC Diva‘ Hellebore, also known as a Christmas Rose, is a fully hardy, low-maintenance and early flowering evergreen perennial in the Helleborus Gold Collection (HGC). It is able to handle cold spells or snow, and will produce dazzling white flowers with a delightful sunny yellow centre, all winter long.
In addition to this, the delightful blooms are a great way to attract wildlife into your garden which has been recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society who have added it to their Plants for Pollinators Collection.
This stunning white Hellebore is ideal for planting in beds and borders but excels when used as a charming container plant on balconies, terraces and in entrance areas. It can also be used as underplanting of trees and shrubs. They are a great way to decorate spaces in winter, that summer flowers would normally brighten up.
They are very easy to care for and prefer a semi-shaded spot in fertile, moist but well-drained soil. To keep the flowers looking at their best for longer, position this bloom in a sheltered spot to protect it from the harsh winter winds.
