Gladioli Giant Flowering ‘Green Star’ – 10 bulbs

Gladioli Giant Flowering ‘Green Star’ produces showy upright spikes of lime green, ruffled flowers appearing from midsummer. With each spike producing upwards of twelve individual blooms, these lime-green towers are perfect for creating a vibrant contrast to rich shades of purple, plum and blue such as Gladioli ‘Lake Land’, ‘Blue Mountain’ or ‘Plum Tart’.

Reaching a height of around 120 cm, these bulbous perennials are perfect for planting through the back of a summer border or large container. A florists’ favourite, Gladiolus also make wonderful additions to fresh arrangements.

We recommend planting these bulbs in two week intervals from March into June to ensure a continual bloom throughout the summer. For the best results, plant in clusters of five or more in a position of full sun with each bulb 10 cm deep and 10 cm apart. If possible plant multiple groupings, ensuring a separate supply for cut flowers with the rest for display throughout the garden.

These Gladioli may require staking and will need water during the growing period and mulching with peat or compost to conserve moisture.
