Eucalyptus Gunnii Azura (12 litre pot)

Eucalyptus gunnii ‘Azura’ is renowned for its distinctive silvery-blue foliage.

When young, thin branches bear oval, silvery coloured leaves. They become grey and lance-shaped as the tree matures and a fluffy white, fragrant blossom appears in spring too.

Growth is bushy, compact yet tall in height and some fruit is borne on older trees.

Eucalyptus are easy to grow and care for. Plant them in full sun and in any well drained, fertile soil and prune in spring to maintain shape or take cuttings for flower arranging. Newly planted trees should be well watered.

Eucalyptus are versatile trees. They do well as specimen plants and in a mixed border. Try planting with red-stemmed Dogwood, purple Smoke Bush and different coloured Phormiums to create a dramatic winter garden.

Alternatively, plant in a large container for admiration on a patio or decking. They act as a good garden screen and windbreak in exposed sites too.
