Eranthis cilicica ‘Winter Aconite’ (10 bulbs)

Eranthis cilicica ‘Winter Aconite’ bulbs produces a stunning bulbous perennial growing deep, cup-shaped, buttery yellow flowers. These flowers grow above rich green basal leaves that are divided into several lobes.

Emerging in February and March these flowers will bloom for several weeks, reaching a height of around 10cm/4″.

These Eranthis cilicica bulbs are ideal for planting under trees where they will make the most of the last of the sunshine before the tree’s foliage thickens in the warmer months. They are also excellent for naturalising at the edge of borders, containers, rockeries, between paving and woodland. Combine with snowdrops or dwarf iris for a colourful and joyful early spring display.

Eranthis like soil that is moist all year round, avoiding dry areas, ideally in a situation of winter sun and summer shade. They are very frost hardy and can survive fresh snow cover.
