Dwarf Iris ‘Carolina’ (Reticulata)

The Dwarf Iris ‘Carolina’ (Reticulata) have sky-blue petals with dark blue tips and a yellow strip down the centre, with a delightfully fresh fragrance.

These delicate flowers will bloom for a number of years as they naturalise really effectively. If planted in full sun they will thrive, however they will tolerate sitting in partial shade, in well-drained soil. These are best planted 10cm deep in an alpine bed, rockery or the front of a spring border – plant them towards the front as they do grow low to the ground. They can also be cut and used for adding to bouquets and arrangements.

Blooming in early February to March, these blue flowers announce the arrival of spring for the new year.
