Wildeve® (Ausbonny) is an English Shrub Rose bred by David Austin with light pink quartered, rosette blooms on long arching branches. These charming blooms tend to fade to white towards the edge of each flower, while also carrying a subtle light, fruity fragrance.

Growing to a very manageable height of 1.25m and a width of 1.5m within the first three years, this bushy shrub is ideal for planting in large pots and containers, adding to mixed borders or grown as a fabulous fragrant rose hedge.

Bred by David Austin and introduced in 2003, this rose is named after a character in the Thomas Hardy novel, ‘The Return of the Native’.

How to care for your rose

To get the best blooms from your shrub rose, plant it with an application of David Austin Mycorrhizal Fungi around the base to help the roots establish and encourage good plant health. We also recommend regular feeding with rose food, once in late March or early April and again in July. Whilst this rose is in flower, regularly deadhead to encourage new bud growth.
