Roald Dahl® (Ausowlish) is an English shrub rose bred by David Austin with medium-sized, soft apricot-coloured rosettes of blooms. The beautiful and robust flowers are complemented but a charming medium Tea fragrance that is warming and relaxing.
This bushy shrub rose has very few thorns, making it a wonderful addition to pots and containers to add colour and interest to patio and seating areas. It is also a wonderful addition to mixed borders and rose borders, or can be grown as a rose hedge. It also excels as a cut flower to enjoy in floral displays around the home.
This English Shrub Rose was bred by David Austin and introduced in 2016. It was named to mark the centenary of Roald Dahl’s birth and was chosen for its colour, which is reminiscent of the peach in the much-loved story, James and the Giant Peach.

How to care for your rose
To get the best blooms from your David Austin Roald Dahl® rose, plant it with a sprinkling of David Austin Mycorrhizal Fungi to help the roots establish and encourage good plant health. We also recommend applying rose food, once in late March or early April and again in July. Whilst this rose is in flower, deadhead the spent blooms to encourage new bud growth.
