David Austin Eustacia Vye® (Ausegdon) is an extremely attractive English Shrub Rose with mid-pink and apricot blooms and a wonderful strong fruity fragrance.
This very healthy variety has a strong upright habit and vigorous growth, producing an abundance flowers with delicately ruffled rosettes of petals. From buds, this medium shrub rose bears shallow cups which then open to pretty rosettes. New petals have a wonderful richness to the colour, which gradually pales over time and creates a magnificent mix of hues to admire throughout its flowering season.
Eustacia Vye produces flowers that are very fragrant, with an appealing, strong fruity scent which is uplifting and invigorating alongside the beauty of its exquisite blooms.
Perfect for growing in mixed borders alongside a host of companion plants, or make a statement and plant a cluster of Eustacia Vye in a rose border for a truly magnificent display. With its strong upright growth, this rose also works well in a large container to admire on a patio or seating area.
To ensure you get the best floral display, we recommend using Mycorrhizal Fungi to establish strong roots and good plant health. Regularly deadhead your rose throughout its flowering season to encourage new bud growth.
This rose is named after the flawed heroine of Thomas Hardy’s novel, The Return of the Native.
