David Austin Desdemona® English Shrub Rose (6-Litre Pot)

The Desdemona® English Shrub Rose is a truly stunning variety, with peachy pink buds that open to beautiful, white, chalice-shaped blooms. The rich and complex Old Rose fragrance has hints of almond blossom, cucumber and lemon zest to create a garden display that is full of the most delightful scent notes.

Perfect for planting in large pots and containers on a patio or balcony area, or for creating exquisite rose beds the beauty of this rose will create a striking display. It also makes a wonderful addition to cut flower displays around the home.

The Desdemona English shrub rose was bred by David Austin and introduced in 2015. It was named after the tragic heroine of Shakespeare’s, Othello.

How to care for your rose

To get the best blooms from your shrub rose, plant it with a sprinkling of David Austin Mycorrhizal Fungi around the base to help the roots establish and encourage good plant health. Regularly feed your rose with rose food, once in late March or early April and again in July. Whilst this rose is in flower, deadhead the spent blooms to encourage new bud growth.
