The beautiful Dahlia ‘Fairway Spur’ bulb will provide impressive large blooms measuring 25cm across.
With delicate, pretty salmon-pink petals with a hint of bronze at the centre, the Dahlia ‘Fairway Spur’ has dark green foliage which will make an impact in any garden.
All Dahlias do best in deep rich soil with good drainage in a sunny spot. For maximum flowering impact, plant the bulb 15cm / 6″ deep during the spring months of March, April, May or June to enjoy beautiful large blooms in summer. Ideally after the risk of frost and extreme cold temperatures have passed.
They can grow up to 120cm / 48″ tall which makes them ideal for adding height and interest to the back of borders or within garden beds.
After planting, water in well and monitor during the summer months. Use an all-purpose general plant feed for bigger and brighter blooms. Deadhead regularly to encourage more flowers and cut back to near ground level in the autumn, before lifting and storing for the winter.
