Cordyline australis ‘Red Star’ 17cm Pot

Cordyline australis ‘Red Star’ is also known as cabbage palm ‘Red Star’.

It has narrow, long, spiky foliage which fans out from the centre and arches to ground level, with upright central spikes. The foliage has a very dark red-green hue.

Ideal for borders and resists drought well. It works well as an architectural plant and would suit a Mediterranean themed garden.

It is a low maintenance shrub that prefers a sheltered location in full sun or partial shade.

This striking palm-like evergreen shrub will over time grow into a beautiful tree-like palm and sometimes the mature ‘Red Star’ bears fragrant white small flowers.
