Cordyline australis ‘Pink Passion’ is also known as cabbage palm ‘Pink Passion’.
It has narrow, long, spiky foliage which fans out from the centre and arches to ground level, with upright central spikes. It is a showy Cordyline which really does stand out from the crowd, with its purple sword-like foliage and bright pink margins.
Ideal for borders and resists drought well. It works well as an architectural plant and would suit a Mediterranean themed garden.
It is a low maintenance shrub that prefers a sheltered location in full sun or partial shade.
This striking palm-like evergreen shrub will over time grow into a beautiful tree-like palm and sometimes the mature ‘Pink Passion’ bears fragrant white small flowers.
