Ceanothus ‘Lemon and Lime’

Ceanothus ‘Lemon and Lime’, also known as Californian lilac ‘Lemon and Lime’, is an evergreen shrub with narrow mid-green leaves, broadly margined with a pale creamy yellow. It also grows masses of small, rich blue flowers, which arrive in late spring and early summer and are highly attractive to bees and butterflies.

Capable of reaching a height and spread of up to 2.5m after approximately 20 years, this fragrant shrub is perfect as a wall side border and in flower beds or gravel gardens.

It is hardy throughout most of the UK down to around -5 degrees and will remain of interest all year round thanks to its variegated evergreen foliage. Try to plant in a position of full sun into moist but well drained acidic, alkaline or neutral soil.

It is very easy to grow and generally pest free however it may suffer from honey fungus.
